Outline of Project
PT Gunawan Dianjaya Steel Tbk (yang selanjutkan akan disebut owner) yang terletak di Tandes, Surabaya, Indonesia adalah produsen pelat baja hot rolled terbesar di sektor swasta. Owner merupakan satu-satunya produsen pelat baja di Indonesia yang memiliki jumlah sertifikasi maksimal dari delapan Biro Registrasi Perkapalan Internasional untuk kualitas pembangunan kapal mereka. Dalam rangka menambah kapasitas produksi pabrik Owner bermaksud untuk memperluas lahan pabrik dan menambah peralatan pabrik untuk proses pembuatan hot rolled steel plate, dimana perluasan tersebut dapat menambah kapasitas produksi maksimal hingga 80 %. Langkah yang diambil Owner adalah dengan membeli unit mesin hot rolled steel plate dari perusahaan baja asal Korea Selatan, Dongkuk Steel Mill Co. Ltd. Dalam proses perluasan pabrik, owner menunjuk PT Krakatau Engineering (selanjutnya disebut sebagai kontraktor) untuk melaksanakan pekerjaan Engineering, Procurement dan Construction bangunan gedung proses pondai equipment & bangunan utility.

As a member o the consortium, KE was responsible for the all local portion of the contract. Including detail engineering, civil works, fabrication and erection of steel structures and installation of equipment.

EPC contract was awarded to consortium between MAN GHH, Ferrostaal AG, Hysla S.A De C.V and PT Krakatau Engineering. KE was responsible for the all local portion of the contract, including detail engineering, civil works, fabrication and erection of steel structures and installation of equipment.
